Advice from an Occupational Therapist

Our second meeting was held on Saturday 26th September 2009.

Occupational Therpaist Esme Zarote who works  for Steddy was one of the speakers who attended this coffee morning.

Esme brought along a number of items useful for those with mobility difficulties and spoke of many other useful aids which are available.

This was a valuable insight into what can be obtained to make life a little bit easier for those who struggle.

There are many websites which offer these items for sale.

It was also agreed that we should try to ensure that we invite friends with disabilities to these meetings as well as those who care for them in order to obtain their help and advice on these matters.  Those suggested are Mrs. Sian Nicholas who is suffering with the early onset of Parkinson’s disease and Mr Colin Joshua who has had severe strokes leaving him very much disabled.

What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? …. Faith if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
